With the advent of the World Wide Web many things have become easier, knowledge sharing is, in my opinion one of its greatest achievements. Getting access to relative information for your chosen subject has never been easier. There are some who dispute the authenticity of this freely available knowledge, arguments rage about the consequences of propagating inaccurate information but when it comes to learning practical skills such a playing the guitar the internet becomes a rich source of tools, tips and inspiration.

By its nature, playing the Guitar is largely a subjective effort. The shear technical prowess of someone like John Williams is in stark contrast to emotive effort of Jimi Hendrix. The instrument can defy logic, after a serious injury in a fire, Django Reinhardt become a very proficient Gypsy Jazz player using only two fingers on his left hand! Examples of these people playing are available on the internet for us all to enjoy or learn from. This sort of propagation was just not around as little as 5 years ago, the first thing in any discipline then is research and when it comes to learning to play the Guitar the Internet is invaluable.
